Product Components

BLE & LoRaWAN Gateway

A dedicated gateway device that acts as the bridge between distributed sensor networks and the Inventrack cloud. Supports simultaneous BLE 5.0 device connections and LoRaWAN node management with MQTT forwarding to Inventrack.

Environmental Sensors

A range of IP67-rated sensors for temperature (-40°C to +85°C), humidity (0–100% RH), pressure, light, and CO2. Sensors broadcast via BLE or LoRaWAN and are automatically discovered and provisioned by Inventrack Sense.

Cloud Dashboard & Analytics

Real-time visualisation of all sensor data with configurable widgets, zone maps, and floor overlays. Historical data is retained for audit purposes and can be exported as CSV or PDF compliance reports.

Alert & Notification Engine

Define multi-condition alert rules across any sensor or zone. Alerts trigger SMS, email, or webhook calls to external systems. Escalation rules ensure the right people are notified within SLA windows.

API & Integration Layer

REST API for custom sensor integrations, webhook subscriptions for third-party SCADA and MES platforms, and native Inventrack 6.0 asset linking for correlating sensor events with maintenance work orders.

Compliance Reporting

Pre-built report templates for GMP cold chain, HACCP food safety, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and GDPR data handling. Reports include sensor calibration metadata, deviation logs, and digital signatures.

Inventrack Sense Dashboard

Inventrack Sense extends the Inventrack 6.0 platform into the world of environmental monitoring — capturing data from distributed BLE sensors, LoRaWAN nodes, and wired probes, then aggregating it into the same Inventrack dashboard your team already uses for asset management.

Where Inventrack 6.0 tracks where assets are, Inventrack Sense answers the question of what conditions those assets are in — whether it’s the temperature of a cold room full of vaccines, the humidity inside a data centre, or the CO₂ levels in a controlled-atmosphere warehouse.

Why Environmental Monitoring Matters

For many industries, environmental conditions are not optional extras — they are core to product quality, regulatory compliance, and safety. A pharmaceutical cold chain breach can render an entire batch of vaccines useless. A server room that runs just 5°C above spec can cause unplanned downtime and data loss. Inventrack Sense makes these conditions visible, alertable, and auditable, all within the Inventrack ecosystem you already rely on.

Supported Sensor Types

Inventrack Sense supports a broad range of environmental sensors out of the box:

  • Temperature — from deep-freeze probes (-40°C) to high-temperature industrial sensors (+85°C)
  • Humidity — 0–100% RH with dew point calculation
  • Pressure — differential pressure for cleanrooms and HVAC balancing
  • Light — lux and UV index for agricultural and manufacturing environments
  • CO₂ — carbon dioxide concentration for indoor air quality and fermentation monitoring
  • Custom payloads — any sensor broadcasting via BLE GATT profiles or LoRaWAN can be integrated through the configuration API

How It Integrates With Inventrack 6.0

Inventrack Sense is not a separate platform — it is a module within the Inventrack ecosystem. Sensor readings are automatically associated with the assets and locations tracked in Inventrack 6.0, meaning your maintenance teams can see both the location of a piece of equipment and its current operating temperature in a single view.

When a sensor reading breaches a threshold, Inventrack automatically creates a work order, assigns it based on escalation rules, and logs the deviation against the asset record — creating a complete, audit-ready chain of evidence for any compliance inspection.

Deployment Architecture

A typical Inventrack Sense deployment consists of three layers:

Layer 1 — Sensors: BLE or LoRaWAN sensors are placed at the points of interest — inside cold rooms, on server racks, in greenhouse zones, or inside shipping containers. Sensors are battery-powered (typically 2–5 years) and transmit wirelessly at configurable intervals.

Layer 2 — Gateway: The Inventrack Sense gateway collects transmissions from all sensors in its range and buffers them locally during network outages. It forwards data via MQTT to the Inventrack cloud platform. One gateway typically covers an entire facility.

Layer 3 — Inventrack Platform: All sensor data is ingested, stored, and visualised within Inventrack 6.0. Dashboards show real-time readings, trend charts, and zone maps. Alert rules are defined here, and notifications flow through the existing Inventrack user hierarchy.

Getting Started

Inventrack Sense is available as an add-on module to existing Inventrack 6.0 customers. For new deployments, it is bundled with the Inventrack 6.0 platform as part of an IoT Intelligence package. Contact the Intensecomp team for a site survey and sensor deployment plan tailored to your facility.
